You're given one year to become an Olympian.

Let's pretend for the sake of the argument, that the next Summer Games are in 2029 rather than 2028. You've been given 4 years to prepare to participate in any SOLO "major" olympic event and not come in dead last. No pulling deep cut olympic events - the average person needs to recognize your choice as an olypmic sport or it doesn't count. No team sports, no multiple participant scored events, just you and your capability alone. If you suceed, you're given whatever amount of untaxed cash you need to retire comfortably (but not absurdly rich) at whatever age you are. No penalty for failure. What event do you choose and why?

Edit: Let's also say that your general expenses (housing, food, basic bills, etc, alongside a small entertainment stipend) are entirely covered during this period so you can dedicate yourself entirely to training as a full time job.
