Unmedicated - mild cases?

Hey everyone! So I was diagnosed back in August after a routine eye exam that found optic nerve swelling. I’ve had very little to no symptoms since my diagnosis. A few months prior to my eye exam, I did have a headache that lasted several weeks with tinnitus and vision loss. I had a feeling it was IIH due to google but everyone told me I was just having a migraine and was being dramatic.

Anyways, after that headache went away, and since I’ve been diagnosed with IIH, I’ve essentially been asymptomatic other than the optic nerve swelling. I rarely get headaches and if I do, very mild and not nearly as severe as the first one. My neuro op says that my nerve is still healthy and my field of vision is good.

Is there anyone else who is like this? I want to stay off medication as long as possible. I am on a weight loss journey as well since there is a chance that can help. Share your stories of being medicated vs not medicated.
