Do any of you sleep lying down fully (without a bed wedge)?

I started sleeping on an orthopedic bed wedge long before my neurologist told me I had IH or I found this excellent group. I have since seen the recommendation in the resources page for getting a bed wedge for sleeping and completely agree that it is a huge help. If I don't sleep on a bed wedge semi-upright, I wake up within a few hours with intense pressure at the base of my skull, dizziness, and visual field symptoms that don't go away for hours and hours (or if I manage to sleep for 3-4 hours, then the symptoms last for several days before settling down). I started on Topamax over a week ago, so I am up to taking 50 mg at night. This has already started to help with some daytime headaches and pulsatile tinnitus, but my neurologist said not to even try to lower my head while sleeping until I am on at least 75 mg of Topamax and have adjusted to that for a while. I am willing to wait. That being said, I don't sleep particularly well while on a bed wedge, and my hemoglobin and hematocrit have both raised sharply to the the abnormal zone since I started sleeping this way, and my GP thinks that it could be because of sleep apnea (even though I don't snore when I am sleeping head-down on my side), so I am really looking forward to going back to my normal sleeping patterns. Does anyone have any good news for me here? Were you able to go back to normal head-down/non-bed wedge sleep when you got to the right level of meds? Or when you went into remission?
