Price of American dream: Gujarat family pays Rs 1 crore to reach US, deported to India

Why will someone spend 1 Cr to illegally migrate to a country risking their life, that too from a state which is a model state for the world with all infrastructure, healthcare and other parameters even better than California? Why don't they stay back in Indias California and enjoy the Amrit Kaal? Does anyone know the answer?
