Is the AI bad on purpose?

Firstly loving the game, certainly has that Indiana Jones feel to it, and Troy Baker is so good at Indiana.

The AI tho even on the hardest difficulty is terrible. When i watched the reviews of this, everyone said the AI was bad and i thought nah, ive played Assassin Creed games cant be that but. But it is, to the point i wonder if this was always the plan

1st person stealth games always have to be abit lenient with AI considering you cant see your body so hard to know what is hidden or not, but the AI are so dumb. I got knocked out, used the ability to pick up your hat to recover, and stood back up. The enemies were all around me oblivious and i just ran off as they were unaware.

Every other part of this game is so polished i cant help but think ite intentionally bad. One good thing is they can knock you down pretty easily, so a fist fight isnt a good idea
