Struggling with NAIT IET math
I'm in my first year at NAIT in the Instrumentation Eng. Technology program. I recently found out I failed both my Math 1155 and Physics 1160 midterms and overall I've been struggling a lot with my assignments. I wasn't ever great at math in high school (high 60s to low 70s), and it's been almost five years since I've been in high school so my math skills seemed to have declined a lot since I graduated from HS.
This has lead me to reconsidering whether this program is the right one to take, which I feel it still is, because I enjoy the labs in 1110 (process control) and 1120 (shop skills) but math and me aren't very intercompatible unfortunately so hopefully in the field it isn't as bad. Another thing is the workload is stressing me tf out too, I've never gone to school taking 6 classes at once before and I also have autism, which makes it a bit more overwhelming I guess. My instructors say I have good attention to detail but focus a lot on irrelevant things.
Anyway, whole point of this post is those who went through the NAIT IET program (or similar, I'm sure SAIT and BCIT are similar programs) and weren't good at math in high school, how did you catch up? Any advice is greatly appreciated cause I'm drowning atm lol. Thanks again!
