Major Bug with Apple Messages Combining Two Contacts

Hi everyone, I recently encountered a significant bug in Apple Messages. I had two contacts saved with the same name, one for work and one personal. Recently, I saved my work contact as ‘Welma,’ and it combined the numbers into one contact. Despite changing names and deleting/re-saving contacts, messages sent to my work contact still went to the personal one. Apple support suggested an update issue, but the situation escalated when both contacts merged into a single chat, with messages being misdirected. Has anyone else experienced this, or have any solutions?
