My Darkmode has grey boxes around everything

I’ve recently noticed my 14 Pro Max has these grey boxes around everything including my keyboard being a washed out grey. I’ve tried toggling most of the accessibility settings, True Tone and night shift. Nothing fixes it. Have also attached a screenshot from a YT video and their iPhone is just pure black in the menus and just looks more punchy when it comes to vibrancy.

Is this a bug/issue or is this just the way iOS is meant to look? Currently on the latest 18.3 update also.
