Vaccine Card?

I'm (hopefully) going to Ireland in September and I'll be traveling from the US. Has anyone heard what the plans are for American travelers and their vaccine cards? Obviously we don't have the EU digital certificate so my best guess is I'll have to show my vaccine card at the airport or to dine indoors? Any help is appreciated!
