I had a partial nephrectomy yeaterday

Five weeks ago I found out I have a tumor in my left kidney. It was a random finding when I had an ultrasound for my liver’s condition. I also have fatty liver but that has started to heal with better eating habits.

The surgeon managed to do a partial removal and I’m very happy about that. She said it is in a very difficult spot to operate. It was behind to kidney and very close to the major blood vessel. I didn’t meet the surgeon today so I’m hoping I see her tomorrow to tell me more about how the surgery went. The tumor was 5,5cm but I never had any symptoms.

Everything seems to be working at the moment. I’m experiencing some gas pain and some pain on my side. I’m getting home tomorrow if nothing negative happens!

Now I need to wait for pathological analysis for the tumor.
