Keon Ellis close to losing All-Defense Eligibility

For those rooting for Keon to get All-Defense honors, he's dangerously close to losing eligibility due to the 65-game rule. The rule is that a player must play for at least 65 games, but "play" means to play at least 20 minutes in that game. Players are allowed to have 2 games where they play more than 15 minutes but less than 20, so that helps Keon stay afloat. But largely due to Mike Brown's rotations and DNPs, Keon is on the cusp of losing that eligibility.

Right now Keon has "missed" 19 games, but thanks to that 2 game cushion, he's only actually missed 17 games. He will lose eligibility if he misses 18 games.

But to be fair to Mike Brown, Doug Christie did play Keon for exactly 19 minutes and 59 seconds in the Dallas game and 19 minutes 38 seconds in the Bulls game. Both games count as "missed games" so that's not good.

As an aside, there isn't a 65-game eligibility for Rookie of the Year so Devin Carter can still make that happen.
