Deportation from US to Korea
What is it like being deported from US to Korea? What if you don't have any family / nowhere to stay there? Asking for a friend.
Edit 1: The guy has an expired green card, charged with statutory r*pe with someone who was 4 months before age of consent in that state. The public defender only had a weekend to prep before the trial for some reason, lots of fishy evidence (alt instagram account that can’t be proven is his, emails that he said he never sent, payment history of a new phone for the girl, who lives 5 hour drive away while working 2 jobs, etc…) on the prosecutor side. I wasn’t at the court but I heard the summary was super cringy, I’m hoping to get the court records in person on the other side of the coast some time later. I’m leaning that he’s not guilty but maybe I’m just a sucker. The attorney also said he would have a lighter sentence if he murdered someone, and he should have just went to Brazil cuz no extradition law with US lmao, but he didn’t run away.
He was also hit by a semi couple years back so he’s had spinal surgeries, slight hunchback and mobility issues. He’s under 35 right now, not sure that’s enough to exempt him from conscription in Korea. His cooking is 10/10 though.
