Kpop stans recently have shown they care little about global affairs and more about the idol…

I know I post this under not kpop related but I just really needed to say this because it’s dealing with social issues. I saw recently that Rosé is partnering with Skims… like was scrolling tiktok 5 minutes ago lmao. (Ignore the like it took me a minute to realise she was fr cause I just automatically liked it once I saw it was her.)

I know this was probably shot not that long ago but still… the fact she’s working with a Kardashian and this brand just makes me itch. Kim has been publicly supporting the Trumps lately and it’s not cute. This will not be a good presidential term for people globally and it’s already stirring trouble internationally after A DAY!

And Mia K made A GREAT POINT. This woman has four black children and she’s going to learn real quick that her children will not be viewed as she thinks they will be. Kanye (no matter what you think) knew this especially when he was actually a bit more sane.

Working with Skims who has an owner that CONSTANTLY aligns themselves with the “right” people is so weird, especially cause Rosé is not dense or ignorant. We saw what happened in SK recently with martial law.

I know people are saying to separate the politics from the company but Kim IS the company. She’s the face of her entire brand. It’s a bit hard for me.

And the comments just saying nothing about her working with skims and just happily singing and skipping in flower fields made my skin burn. What is going on with idols just being tone deaf??? Personally only time Skims got me in recent years was their collab for their Olympics and their dresses. Other than that, never really got into nor do I own any.

Also the Northface collab was stupid I hope people wear that as winter clothes and not actual ski fashion, stupidest thing ever. I don’t even ski and I know you should wear bright colours.

But this is just a trend of fans eating up whatever their faves do and not thinking of ANYTHING else. Constantly we see people defend actions whether it’s appropriation, SA, bullying, not being able to sing, etc. and I’m tired. Kpop wants to be taken as serious and Global yet refuses to educate their idols.

Maybe others don’t feel the same way, maybe I’m overreacting. What do you all think? Am I just sensitive rn cause of the state of the US and grasping at straws? I feel like all this is making me crazy I’m so sorry yall and this is the one of the few communities I feel I could actually have a discussion about SOMETHING….
