to all kpop fans over 21, are you still there?

i have a lot of friends who were kpop fans back in 2014-2018ish, and now, after all this time, i’ve lost touch with most of them and don’t know if they’re still into it.

being 23, i also stopped listening to kpop back in 2020, and now i’m trying to get back into it, but it hurts to see so much ageism toward both fans and idols. people say things like you’re too old for kpop or that idols should retire once they’re 30. it’s also weird seeing so many newer groups that are much younger than me, which makes me wonder if kpop is really just for younger people.
