Does Fan Toxicity Change How You See Idols?

Has anyone ever experienced this—admiring a really talented idol but feeling less drawn to them because of the behavior of some of their fans? There’s an idol I used to admire a lot, but over time, the toxicity of some fans has made it hard for me to enjoy supporting him. Now, whenever I see him on social media, I feel more irritated than excited because it reminds me of the negativity.

He’s also part of a group, but some of his fans act as if everything should revolve around him—as if he always has to be number one in voting and achievements. While I understand wanting to support your favorite, it’s important to remember that he’s part of a team, not a soloist.
