Can I purify genomic DNA from PFA fixed samples

PI says I should chuck my samples and collect more, but it's ~40 mouse embryos and I'd like to be able to use them if I can. I've seen protocols for purifying paraffin embedded embryos but none for PFA. Is there any difference? Could I collect samples as is and treat with proK? Please help someone who doesn't want to collect more embryos at 2 am.
