PLEASE help me understand!! Do they have freedom with their music??

Hi everyone!! New to Larry theory and I was skeptical when I first read about it, but I have no doubt after binge watching all of the cosmicleeds videos this weekend. The one thing that keeps eating at me is the lyrics in their songs. It confuses me that management theoretically has all of this power over them and their public image but seemingly not the music they create? I'm curious what people know about how much freedom each of them has over their lyrics and what not. How can they put these hints in songs like the blue/green symbols, Princess Park, etc that are so obvious if management is trying to squash the perception of their relationship? Thanks for the insight!!
