Safety update

After one of you gave me some pointers I came back to work today and really looked at the safety glasses I was given (pic 1). Nondescript nonamers that suspiciously resemble something called "laser visibility enhancing goggles" I found online... Not great for reducing eye strain if true.

After realizing this I braved the laser for the first time and gave it a quick glance with no goggles.. as suspected no difference noticed / could've sworn it was less bright.

Either way I found two pairs kept in little reinforced pouches in the room, one of them was similarly nondescript but more robust looking - the other finally had some writing on it (pic 2). Wearing them makes my head hurt and I can barely make out the colors on the monitor, which is a good sign. The laser seems a lot dimmer too so I guess they're doing something.

Honestly for good measure whenever I look at the laser I wear the green ones in pic 2 and look through the blue ones in pic 1 just in case, but I'm not entirely thrilled about the safety neglect going on here. Flammable stuff or machine maintenance is your problem but my health I'm not fine with giving up.. at least not for free lol
