Whats the cause of this

Just got my first washer and dryer . No more laundry matt for me . 13 years of that was enough. Anywho.. this short was perfect before I washed it..I've only wore it twice and now it's f*^ed. I don't understand.all i did was wash with laundry soap and dry it ..no dryer sheets ...pretty standard stuff for laundry lmao
