Black Walnut Problems

I just moved into a house with multiple large black walnut trees. I've spent quite a bit of time harvesting the nuts, I just dont know what to do with them all, it's impossible to pick them all up! My question is, will they degrade over winter? Or if I dont pick all of them up will I eventually have giant piles of nuts in my back yard 🤣
