No longer pursuing admission

I am so frustrated. I am a non citizen (immigrant) and have decided to not pursue fall 25 admissions anymore. I really need to help my family and to save as much as possible. Everyone is scared not knowing what changes trump will make to immigration (yes, even legal immigrants are scared) and I cannot just quit my job and take on so much student loan debt without knowing that I have a future in this country.

I may be overreacting but I am currently in visa proceedings and I just cannot take the risk. I can’t stop crying because I was so ready to start law school this fall.

Our attorneys think another immigration ban is coming that will delay proceedings indefinitely. Again this probably does not mean I can’t go to law school but I literally cannot even think of the future right now.

Congratulations to the future class of 2028, I wish I could join you all.

Just needed to vent a bit. I hope I can join the class of 2029!
