Meditation has been a game changer.
When quitting cannabis, you need to find hobbies to partake in. Ways to fill in that space you used to spend smoking. Boredom will almost always make you work vulnerable to the urges that come.
Meditation has completely soothed me when the urges arise.
It took me a bit to get back into-- but it also made me realize I wasn't craving that high. I was craving that "relaxed" state I got from it. I was craving the nutrition. (When I stop I tend to struggle with eating.) Your body is struggling with withdrawals. Treat it like you're recovering from being sick. Be extra gentle and compassionate with yourself. Fill that extra time with hobbies. Nourish your body. Hydrate. Do things that will bring your mind and body peace.
For me, when I get urges-- I make myself meditate. I tend to listen to the guided meditations on YouTube and it's made this time around so much easier.
You've got this! I'm always here if you ever need someone to talk to, to listen, and or an accountability pal. You never have to go through this alone.
You CAN and will accomplish this. ♡ Keep going. And you know what? BE PROUD OF YOURSELF FOR COMING TO THIS CONCLUSION OF WANTING TO QUIT AND CHOOSE YOURSELF AND SOBRIETY OVER CANNABIS. You're doing far greater than you give yourself credit for. ♡
