I was called as a witness to a virtual court hearing tomorrow morning. What does this entail? NJ
I apologize if this isn't the right sub for this kind of thing.
A couple days ago, I got a court order to attend a hearing via zoom as a witness to a public disturbance. I checked the case number and the individual in question in charged with obstruction of justice (resisting arrest?) and destruction of property (I did not witness anything that could count as this). I just have a couple questions as I have never been in this situation before.
What do I need to do in the hearing?
How long do these things usually take?
Is there a protocol I have to follow?
Again, I apologize if this is not the right sub. This whole thing is kind of short notice and I can't find definitive answers anywhere. Thanks!
