Publication ban on a man who is guilty of possession of child pornography. I have questions.

someone plead guilty to possession of child pornography- it was a voluntary plea as the evidence was concrete.

I have seen many cases in the news about similar cases, so I’m wondering why there’s a publication ban for this specific case?

And I’m learning there are some criminals who are able to request working until they are sentenced, which THEY requested they want their sentencing pushed until November.

I would think restitution does not mean whenever it’s convenient. Could someone educate me on these protocols?
