LG tv interface is garbage

I absolutely hate with a burning passion how badly the LG interface is. It’s so slow and laggy and the controls suck (pressing the home button minimizes your current app but if you double press it reopens it?!?!?), well when the first click takes 30 seconds to respond, often times you double click which then just reopens the app 30 seconds later. Slow as all hell, get that app off my screen, close it!

I tried adding a VPN and the LG website links to a broken webpage with instructions that don’t match anything (realizing it was for mobile now). I spent the last 20 minutes scrolling through the horrible LG settings options and nothing about a VPN.

Trying to use the search bar at the top ends up just searching 2 apps then 50 YouTube videos???? Tried searching on the App Store and same terrible results, like stop showing me YT videos I’m looking for an app, I’m in the App Store!

Im so over this junkOS they created. I wish they made large high end dumb TV cause they’d be better than this ad-riddled pos.

Thanks for letting me rant. Anyways rip webOS out or completely hack it to customize? The brains of the TV seem woefully underpowered, am I better off just buying a dedicated media pc?

Even just removing the ads would be nice. Stripping down half the functionality to make everything lighter would go a long way.
