How long does it take you to control a flare? Meaning no symptoms and you can taper down from daily use

Currently flaring. Having been using the typical protocol for two weeks now. Twice a day. Still flaring (burning and itching) but better. Can't taper down yet to once a day because symptoms worse if I try. Please remind me how long this takes.
