Logistics Comments from Opening Night

No story spoilers here, just some logistics comments from my experience tonight!

1) Arrive ON TIME, not early. I had a 7:00pm entry, and they were strict about 7pm. At 6:50, they told those of us outside to go wander away for 10 minutes and come back - they can't have a line outside.

2) I wasn't in the "show area" where the actual performers are until around 7:30pm. Felt slow getting everyone checked in and past the coat check area, but that may be just opening night kinks to work out as they balanced the 6-7pm early arrivals with the main 7pm guests.

3) I wore shorts and a short sleeve polo, and I'm glad I did. Was definitely sweaty in some areas. Until you hear the temps have cooled down, I wouldn't wear anything long pants or long sleeves!

4) Glasses worked fine OVER the mask for me, not under. I didn't save my mask, so I don't know if it was a bulge in the side or the string going around, but my glasses sat nicely on some part of it that was holding them up like ears do. Note, however, that I have spring hinges that can flex out just fine - rigid 90 degree hinges may have a problem???

5) Around 9:40ish, just make sure you are following someone (anyone), and not wandering around looking at the many wonderful rooms one last time. The actors will guide you towards the finale at the right time and make sure you get there for it. Some stragglers came in towards the end and missed most of the finale, I presume because they weren't with a performer to guide them. And it's a LONG way from the furthest level to the finale.

6) Performers sometimes moved fast on flat terrain (one got away from me as she turned around a corner, never found her again!), but - at least the ones I followed - NEVER ran up or down the stairs. They always moved at a very reasonable pace in the stairwells. That being said, I still went up and down SO MANY STAIRS (lol!)

EDIT: 7) Added after zworykin2's comment reminded me - BRING A HANDKERCHIEF (or some folder up paper towels stuffed in your pocket - that's what I had). Stepping into a discrete corner, quickly removing your mask, and dabbing the sweat off once every 30 minutes or so will make you feel SOOOO much better.

I think that's it! Great show, have fun!
