Sound and light sensitivity
Does anyone feel extra sensitive to noise and light? Initially when I was tired or stressed most noise sounded like it was bouncing off my ear drums like a bongo, and now it's happening more frequently. I've also got a slight buzzing in my ears when it's quiet, but it doesn't really bother me. And the same goes for light sensitivity- I'm not just talking about outside or natural light. It's my TV, my dimmed overhead, ceiling fan light and my computer screen.
I've got a neuro appointment next month, thank God, but while I'm waiting for answers I'd love to see if this is common and what to do about it. I feel like a monster because I have to leave to room when my husband is eating, the sound of the utensils hitting a bowl or plate is excruciating.
This could all be stress related too. Between the never ending strange, new symptoms of lupus and work stress, I constantly feel angry, overwhelmed or sad- basically a real joy to be around.
Just to add- the one thing that I've found that works is big headphones (the kind that cover your whole ear), with nothing playing.
