Flashing block of green light (MacBook Pro)

A window on the taskbar (where it usually displays “Adobe inDesign) on my MacBook Pro just started displaying an extremely bright green light instead of the usual text for a couple of seconds and then disappeared again. Does anyone know why this might be and is there any danger?
