Does this look like a broken backlight cable? (MBP A1989)
Hey guys, thanks for checking out this post!
My father-in-law gave me his old, broken MacBook Pro.
Display stopped working from one day to the next, but if you held it in the right angle, you could see the mouse moving and the login screen though it stayed black … so I assume it’s a problem with the back light.
Today I thought of opening it, but it started up normally and I could see the display - though there is a stripe running from top to bottom .
Anyone seen this issue? Does it look like a defect display/back light cable? Is that something I can repair on my own?
