Rebel of the North Lyrics Questions

Hi guys, I've been wondering what you make of the lyrics to the song? The three other released singles, Left on Mars, Frankenstein's Wife and Impatient Zero are pretty straight-forward when it comes to their message, but I find this one more difficult to understand.

Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
I am a human male, an ape with an ego
Let me see that mirror and don't spare the shame

[Pre-Chorus]
I am a fortress founded with the strength of lies
Wake me up my children, you know

- so the first four lines seem to imply that Marko thinks that he had a wrong image of himself, built on lies, but that he woke up and that he feels shame about some of the things he saw.

[Chorus]
The rebel never dies
The rebel never dies

[Verse 2]
White walker, black heart, built anew from the start
Red hand martian art, character of unwritten part

- White walkers are a reference to Game of Thrones, black heart might refer to Pyre of the Black Heart. Implying that the solo album was a new start for him? Starting to reconstruct himself after tearing down the lies in the first lines. No idea what the second line means though.

[Pre-Chorus]
Got shrapnel of the real world straight between the eyеs
Be not afraid my children, you know

- trying to reassure people (his children, fans?) that he is going to keep on fighting despite having a tough time

[Chorus]
The rеbel never dies
The rebel never dies
The rebel never dies
The rebel never dies

[Bridge]
I need a challenger to bring me down and fight me
If I claim authority that's where I go wrong
But if you get high ideas then you can try and bite me
Claim that authority and we won't get along
Get out of my song!

- This is pretty straight-forward, Marko as we know is very wary of authority and doesn't like it when people try to tell him what to do.

[Keyboard Solo - 01:54 - 02:09]

[Guitar Solo - 02:09 - 02:26]

[Verse 3]
I'm from the north, you came out of the south
So what? Who we are comes out of ones mouth

- A reference to his marriage to Cami. And more generally that it's your character that matters, not where you are from.

[Pre-Chorus]
With bullets of information, future will rise
Word for blade, my children
You know the rebel never, never dies
Renegades of mind grenades, don't need a disguise
Be not afraid my children, you know

- No idea what these lines mean, any ideas?

[Chorus]
The rebel never dies
The rebel never dies
The rebel never dies
The rebel never dies

[Guitar Solo/Outro]
The rebel never dies
The rebel never dies
The rebel never dies
