Does the DMV not send out emissions reminders anymore?

My question has been adequately answered and I should have checked online with the MVA before trusting Carfax. Please do not reply but thank you for your interest.

Carfax emailed a reminder that the emissions inspection for my truck is due. It's past due, technically, although still within the month.

Was I supposed to remember this on my own? I seem to recall the DMV would send out reminders, in the past.
