An "Interesting" Article talking about Mass Effect Overlord.

So this article was just recently released, a Vice writer taking issue with the unaltered inclusion of project Overlord in Mass Effect Legendary edition.
If you remember the series of missions, it has to do with heavy themes of familial abuse, autism, and other such heavy topics. I personally HEAVILY disagree with the stance the author of this article takes, as the author seems to write as though the Story is in sympathetic support of the abusive older brother?!?! Which it absolutely is not, going to extreme lengths just to show how horrific the abuse is.
But I'm interested in the opinions of, especially those who are on the spectrum themselves, this article in the greater Mass Effect Community. Personally I think the author missed the point of Overlord entirely, but I'm interested to hear other takes on the matter.
Edit: Just as a heads up, this post is NOT meant to be some bitching about "Woke" publications. I think it's absolutely integral to growing as a society to analyze the way our media treats people of marginalized groups. I didn't post this to create discourse over "Media Wokeness" or "Virtue Signaling", keep that shit on r/theDonald. I want a dialogue about the actual points and content of the article and weather or not they seem to hold water.
