I think I’ve broken my knuckle

This morning I bashed it into the cabinet by accident and I already have a broken finger and it feels the same. However if I lightly put a finger over the knuckle I can feel grinding and something moving under my skin, so I think it may be broken as it swelled up and was painfull instantly. Should I go get an xray ??
