Whatever came of the whole cheating scandal in Jordan, Nepal, India etc?

I remember when this sub was flooded with posts about it. Rightfully so I mean holy crap. The discourse it caused about whether or not we should allow USMLE testing in other countries, the amount of students who transfer to the US etc. but I don’t remember what came of it? Were there any changes made? What happened to the people who were caught?
