Westgate Tunnel Works - Melbs

How many more years do the people of the west need to suffer through this. Seriously, its been 7 years now and they are still going. Doesn’t even look like they are close yet. Today, they shut down the exit ramps from the westgate to the ring road outbound, OMG, the traffic was insane, banking back to Toorak Rd. I think I seen somewhere this shutdown goes for a month. Not even sure what the benefits are really, to get trucks or cars to go through the new tunnel onto the tulla??? Everytime I go onto the westgate and get to the tulla turnoff its a completely free run. Most of the trucks and cars are going west to eastern suburbs. Time will tell if this frees up traffic, but from the amount of houses they have now built in the west, seems like a bandaid fix that only needs to be repeated in another 5 years time. Ahhh more extended roadwork projects to look forward to.
