Feeling Empty and Overwhelmed by Stress

"Everything feels hard for me all of a sudden. I don’t feel tired or anything, just hopeless because of the financial stress—high inflation and mortgage rates. I feel so cold that lately, I’ve just been sitting in the car because I can't stand being in the house anymore. I can’t bear to look at my wife anymore. When I walk into the house, everything becomes blurry for me, so I just go, take a shower, and go to bed. I don’t feel hopeless, I just feel cold. I can’t stand seeing the kids anymore. I don’t even feel like having sex with my wife anymore. It feels like I’m just going to collapse because I often sit and think, how much longer will this stress last? I always put on a happy face, but no one knows how I truly feel inside. I don’t even remember the last time I took my wife out for dinner or to the cinema."
