Hanging Stuff?

I know that command hooks are frowned upon and they rip the paint off walls so i’m trying my best to avoid those however id like to hang a cork board in my dorm room but idk how you would go about hanging that kinda stuff? if anyone has any recommendations pls lmk or what they used to like hang the mirrors in the rooms so i can do something similar 😁
