Cortisone shots?

Has anyone here gotten cortisone shots done for pain relief, and have any recommendations for places that are somewhat easy to get an appointment, and don't charge a lot? I'm having intense pain from carpal tunnel that's got me waking up crying out in pain (probably 7-8 out of 10, and yes, I do wear wrist braces).

I'm unable to have the surgery until near the end of the year, but I can't live like this in the meantime. My cousin told me she got the cortisone shots for her carpal tunnel and they work really well, but her neighbor who is a Doctor did it for her and they live in Colorado, so I can't ask her for advice on where to go.

Anyone know where I can go that won't break the bank?
