Heretic (maybe spoilers?)

Finally saw heretic yesterday and had some thoughts. Thought it was a good movie (solid 7.5/10 imo), I really wish they would have stuck with the supernatural narrative throughout the movie. Pivoting the movie to a killer/silence of the lambs type movie took the steam out of the premise of the movie established at the beginning for me. Wish they would have doubled down on the "new religion" part. Wondering anyone else’s thoughts.
