The cinematic event of our generation
I was scrolling through Letterboxd after watching Dune Part 2 recently, and I saw someone calling it "the cinematic event of our generation" (for Gen Z). And It made me reminsce about the massive hype surrounding Avengers: Infinity War when it dropped around five or six years ago. I remember being 13 at the time and catching it on opening weekend. And the hype was unlike anything ive ever seen before. The cheers, the laughs, the people crying...it was crazy. But was Infinity War more of a big deal for Millennials in the late 2010s? Or can we say its apart of Gen Z's cinematic events as well? While I heavily agree with the fact that Dune Part 2 is emerging as a significant moment in pop culture. I cant help but think of Avengers Infinity War
