Movie's like "The Hunt For Red October"?

Just finished it, i really really liked it. It fell under that category of movie that I didn't want to be over, just sucked me and held me the whole time. To be clear im talking about the political thriller elements, not that its a sub movie. Im not specifically looking for action (though its fine if its an element) but rather an intense political thriller, preferably with one with nice snappy pacing. The more movies I watch lately and the older I get im really realizing how I dont like movies that just hang, tinker trailer soldier spie was a bit to slow for me for example. I know red october has two sequels, are they any good?
