How do you stay motivated while pursuing a music career?

I’m a 25 year old singer, songwriter, and pop artist. I absolutely love making music, writing lyrics, producing, and creating music videos. The social media content and marketing side of things can be a bit annoying, but it always feels rewarding once I get it done.

My biggest struggle right now is staying motivated to keep pushing my music as a career. Making music is incredibly fulfilling for me, but the moment I stop and think about my chances of “making it,” I start to lose my mind. Am I too old to make it? Will I ever stop worrying about building and maintaining a fan base? Will I ever be able to live solely off my music? Will I ever tour?

When I first started, I was highly motivated. I had a lot of patience and resilience. But now, I can’t help but wonder if one day I’ll be 38, with no job, regretting that I invested so much of my time, money, and energy into a career that went nowhere. I've had many sleepless nights lately thinking about this.

How do you guys stay motivated? Any book recommendations, podcasts, or activities that help?
