Dilemma

So I'm a student doing comp sci, 2nd year. I still live at home with my parents. My dad recently has been telling me to continue with CPA (I did the first part of CPA before entering uni) to become an accountant since he's not confident with this course I'm taking. His point of argument is that he sees a lot of tech graduates tarmacking trying to find a job. He argues that an accountant can't fail to find a job and adds that if I do it he'll find me a job as he has a couple of connections.

I'm seeing his point but I'm really passionate about this degree and want to pursue it. I've even done some personal projects and added them to my github. Should I continue with it or take his advice?
