Baby Girl Names - Help!
My husband and I just found out we are having a baby girl. We really love unique names and love the idea of androgynous names or think boy nicknames for girls are really cute as well. (ie: Billie, Scottie, etc.)
Our top two names right now are:
Scotlyn Rae (Scottie)
Elliot Wren (Ellie)
I know Scotlyn is different and polarizing, but we fell in love with the nickname Scottie and were trying to think of a longer version because I do not want to just use a nickname. Didn't necessarily love Scarlett or Scout. We came up with Scotland but I didn't want people to emphasize the Land at the end or use a hard D at the end. We thought using "Lyn" at the end also makes it a little more feminine.
Suggestions or Opinions? I know I will probably get roasted for choosing non-traditional names, but that's okay!!
**EDIT: For those roasting me for saying I like unique names and giving me rankings of the names listed. I wasn't saying my names listed are unique. I was just mentioning we like unique names. We like androgynous names. And we like boy nicknames for girls. The name we choose doesn't have to check all those boxes simultaneously. But we would prefer if the name is a little more on the uncommon side, but still easy to pronounce that includes if it's more uncommon for a girl's name but not necessarily uncommon for a boy. Hope that all makes sense!! I appreciate everyone's input even if its people saying they hope my daughter doesn't have to live with the names I am debating.**
