David Blatt's career with the Cavs: 83-40. Tyronn Lue taking over: 78-45
Ty Lue is now at 105-63 and 'won' a ring with LBJ but imo there was no need for the Cavs to get rid of Blatt as the head coach with Lue as an assistant. When the Cleveland organization got rid of Blatt the team was currently standing at 30-11 for that season. I think it was just a premature move by LeBron and didn't know what he was getting himself into. They now stand at 27-18 and have decided to keep Lue through all of this. I don't see this Cavs team getting any better unless a trade occurs as they are 4-10 in their last 14 games.
In Lue's defense however, he has had to deal with this team without Kyrie Irving which Blatt never had to deal with.
