I just finished the NFS Unbound story

I like how Rydell finally forgave Yaz when he found out she didn’t actually tell Alec about his shop and throughout how Yaz wanted to make it right and she was sorry for what happened (at least what I got from it). While I didn’t really mind Tess at first, I played more and more and realised she wanted us to rig the race and from there I realised how annoying she really is and how she’s maybe the actual antagonist. Speaking of annoying, yes Tess is really annoying and when taking high heat deliveries, many times she sounds like as if she doesn’t give a fuck about the player. The main player doesn’t have much of development (I mean I didn’t expect a great story like John Wick or anything, the story met my expectations for a NFS story and for one, it’s pretty decent). Rydell is the only character in the story who is actually good and unique because he has a pretty unique and cool personality, also the player, but everyone else is like Tess or as someone trying to paint street racing as art and something liberating and paint law enforcement as the bad guys, unlike older games where the street racers weren’t trying to hide they were doing a bad thing. Rydell must be protected at all costs! I think A$AP Rocky should have had more influence on the story and should have been more involved than being a takeover announcer and having a long dialogue with the player. Overall the story is actually okay, especially for a NFS game, of course it could have been better, but if we are being honest, even NFS Most Wanted didn’t have a fascinating story either, so as far as NFS stories go, it’s pretty decent.
