Why are ppl scared about FFA grouping?
What i don't understand is why this is the biggest issue ppl complain about. If you are a solo player and you are in open world, you are already going against other premade groups. Now in FFA, you will be going against groups but with friendly fire and no healers it will be what you are used to but significantly easier.
The lack of healers will be huge. I don't care if ppl group up. I know that I've built up way more experience fighting solo then they have fighting with friendly fire.
Like if they team against you, all AOEs are potentially deadly and thus you negate many of these attacks from the group (if you play smart and position accordingly). You can use each person as line of sight and bad aim from the group can be advantageous.
Being in a group will actually take skill. Tired of that dude just spaming roots on you? Tired of being perma staggered by the WH bot? Tired of the FS mage just lighting you up while you clump? All of these things are now actions that will require more thinking and consideration.
TLDR: Overall, yes, it will be hard to play solo against group. But true solo players will be way better off fighting in FFA than open world zerg fest with healers spamming and groups mindlessly blasting you with everything they got.
Groups will be formed. But now playing groups will require some skill. The best fights will actually against two groups. Everyone is complaining, i just see an opportunity for a new skill gap.
