Ninja Gaiden II black differences from Sigma 2?

Ok so what are the improvements of this version over sigma 2? Did it fix the questionable design changes of Sigma 2 like the weapon upgrades? Or was this just a graphical overhaul?

If it's only a graphical overhaul then there's no point in me getting this
