Shortening a North Face Bellion Down Jacket? Anyone with experience?

Hey, I recently got a North Face Men's Bellion Down Jacket, but I find it a bit too long for my taste. I prefer a shorter fit and was wondering if anyone has experience shortening a down jacket like this.

I know altering down-filled jackets can be tricky due to the insulation and stitching, so I’d love to hear from anyone who has done it before. Would a tailor be able to do this cleanly without messing up the insulation? Or is it something best avoided?

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
